Rio Americano HS in Sacramento, CA is in need of Varsity and JV coaches. This is a chance for someone who would like to develop a strong and growing CIF program.
We had a JV team last year and are adding Varsity because the demand and talent are there.
We have had great numbers come out for the program. We have started a Fall Club program to keep the momentum going and are hoping to add a coaches who are ready to take over this Spring.
Rio Lacrosse Details:
-Spring Season starts in March, Pre-season/tryouts early Feb.
-2nd Year CIF Girl's Lacrosse Team
-$2,500 Varsity Head Coach Stipend, $1100 Varsity Asst. Coach
-$2,500 JV Coach, possibly $1100 for Asst. JV Coach
- New turf field Fall of 2018
- Practice every day M-F except game days starting in February. Times: 3:30-5:30 (M,T,W,F) and 2:30-4:30pm (Th) We have no lights so times are subjective to daylight.
- 2018 SLVC League games are already scheduled (e-mail for info)
We have everything in place to keep things going strong - uniforms (2-teams), grass home field (new turf stadium in 2018), equipment, goals, Booster Club financial support, extra practice sticks/goggles, team sponsors, etc...

TITLE: Girls Program Coordinator
MANAGER: Executive Director
HOURS/LOCATION: Part Time 20-25hrs/per week
PAY: $1,500-2,000 per month
The Oakland Lacrosse Club is an education and sports based youth development program that implements a 360-degree approach that involves leadership development, college and career exploration, and academic advocacy for middle school students in Oakland Public schools. Using lacrosse as a medium Oakland Lacrosse supports our players in excelling on the field, in the classroom, and as leaders in their respective communities.
Girls Program Coordinator Position
The Girls Program Coordinator oversees the implementation of our year round lacrosse, college and career exploration, and academic support programming. This includes recruiting players through our outreach clinics and supporting coaches in meeting individual player and team development objectives during the spring season. The Girls Program Coordinator implements our enrichment activities which includes field trips to local colleges and businesses, our nutrition workshops, and summer programming. Additionally, our program coordinator tracks players grades and coordinates with after-school program partners to ensure our players are receiving the support and resources they need to excel in the classroom.
Overseeing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of lacrosse programing. This includes outreach, fall ball, spring season, and summer for the youth program.
Oversee development of coaches, which includes creating trainings, supporting practice planning, and coordinating outreach clinics.
Overseeing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of enrichment programming which includes field trips, nutrition, and summer programming.
Coordinating with after-school partners to track student grades and advocate for student resources.
Coach a youth team
Support in recruiting and hiring coaches
Prep site for practices and maintain equipment inventory(goals, balls, cones, etc)

3-5 years of youth coaching or education experience
